During the ArtEZ Finals, the work of graduating students comes to life. From musical stories to multidisciplinary artworks and theatre productions. There is once again plenty to see and hear in the coming week.

Programme: Master of Music
When: Wednesday, 24 June, 7:00 - 8:00 PM
Location: ArtEZ Conservatory, Arnhem
What happens when the Plague decides to leave behind her endless wanderings among humankind for a while in order to get to know herself better? In The Plague's Travelogue, graduating student Bartol Stopić takes you on a musical journey inspired by Croatian mythology. An imaginative performance in which music, storytelling, and mythology come together.

In Children of Aleppo, graduating student Shaheer Alzir tells the story of three young Syrians who dream of freedom. What begins as a hopeful revolution gradually turns into a reality marked by loss, fear, and war.
Drawing on his personal background, Shaheer explores themes of identity, memory, and belonging. A powerful and moving performance about freedom—and what remains of it when a country is changed forever.

Location: Schouwburg Odeon, Zwolle
During his graduation recital, pianist Mateo Viscarra Wilde takes you on a musical journey through Bolivia. Ten piano pieces are paired with paintings by artist Cecilia Wilde, creating a unique encounter between music, visual art, and cultural storytelling.

Location: Schouwburg Hengelo
In the musical graduation performance I Thought I Could Fly, fourth-year Music Therapy students showcase their artistic and professional development. Through music, storytelling, and personal experiences, the performance offers an insight into the encounters and connections that shape their future professional practice.
AKI finals Expo 2026
Programmes: Fine Art, Crossmedia Design, and Moving Image
When: Friday, 26 June - Friday, 3 July
Location: AKI ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design
The annual AKI finals Expo 2026 showcases the work of all fourth-year students from the Fine Art, Crossmedia Design, and Moving Image programmes. In and around the AKI ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design, visitors can explore installations, paintings, sculptures, videos, performances, and design projects by a new generation of artists.
For anyone interested in discovering what inspires and drives emerging creatives today, this exhibition is not to be missed.
