Zelah Malin

Zelah Mori Kusje Malin based in the Netherlands, is a multidisciplined artist. Diving deeper into the layers of the self and identity by using her own narrative. Using string, performance and drawing as she creates sculptures with care, control and chaos all in one. Using these states to understand healing and honesty.

Zelah Malin discovers and remakes personal stories into an uncomfortable forms of healing. Using performance and writing, she brings her narrative to life with spoken word, dance and embodying, feeling all the pain, love and vulnerability she has felt from her past trauma. She provokes questions, subverting expectation of others. By challenging herself and her identity, she uses a form meditational drawing to reconnect to her child self, finding her line by line again. By exposing her vulnerability, she shows the hidden strength through the uneasy, viewing vulnerability as a form of control over her own narrative. 

Her art is used as reflection, not only for herself but as a medium to connect and reflect with others. Using art as a method for healing and grasping a broader sense of herself and thus others around her.
