Space in Distance

From noise to peace

In a world that is constantly in motion, distance can sometimes feel like loss. This animation invites the viewer to see it differently, not as a disappearance, but as a return. Through a series of symbolic images, a journey unfolds from noise to stillness.

The work is rooted in the idea that solitude is not the same as loneliness. In an environment filled with stimuli and distractions, creating distance can offer a moment in which clarity and structure become visible again. By presenting solitude in a different light, the animation aims to make space for two perspectives: recognition for those who need distance, and an awareness of the value that solitude can hold for many people.

This idea is translated into a visual world in which abstract forms, light structures, and symbolic imagery are used as an alternative to a literal narrative. By carefully intertwining image, sound, and movement, the work creates an atmospheric and calming experience. Within this abstract visual language, meaning does not emerge through explanation, but through symbolism and interpretation.

Rather than approaching distance as a break from the world, the work presents it as a valuable in-between space, inviting viewers to consider the possibility that solitude is sometimes essential in order to reconnect with oneself.
