Financial matters

The amount of tuition you will need to pay depends on your situation. In most cases, you’ll pay the statutory tuition fee. In some situations, you will pay the higher institutional fee, such as if your programme will be your second bachelor’s degree.

There are different ways to get financial support during your studies in the Netherlands. For Dutch and EU/EEA students, this may include student finance from DUO or the lifelong learning credit. If you are an international student from outside the EU/EEA, DUO schemes usually do not apply, but you may qualify for scholarships, grants, or financial arrangements through ArtEZ and other organizations.

Materials and production costs

The cost of materials depends on your individual working process and the choices you make in your research and design. This may include costs for models, printing, audiovisual materials, or renting equipment or workspace. On average, these costs range from €200 to €1,000 per year.

Exhibition and presentation materials  

For your graduation project, you will organise a presentation or exhibition. Keep in mind possible costs for transport, set-up and presentation methods. 

Travels & Excursions

Twice a year we travel. These During travels allow our students to remain informed and up to date on global, current and innovative developments within diverse domains and to consider their own development and research within a broader context.

On average, you must take into account additional costs ranging from €180 to € 380 per travel. In addition, we occassionally plan for excursions to a studio or exhibition elsewhere in the Netherlands. This involves travel expenses, ranging from €0 to €100 per year depending on your situation.
