ArtEZ graduates shortlisted for Global Creative Graduate Showcase by Arts Thread
Four alumni have been nominated for the prestigious Global Creative Graduate Showcase 2024 by Arts Thread, in collaboration with WGSN, Coloro, and Google Arts & Culture. The graduates were selected by international industry experts, and you can vote for their projects until Friday 18 October.
Yea Lim Kim, Product Design
This project addresses the issue of traditional shoes deforming natural foot shapes. By expanding the toe box, Yea Lim's design improves balance, agility, circulation, and reduces injury risk, with a last inspired by the natural spread of toes.
Nouka Rous, Fashion Design
Nouka explores identity within societal expectations of femininity. Her collection features garments that restrict movement and fall away like discarded cocoons, symbolising the struggle and transformation into one’s true self.
Fabienne Eggink, Interior Architecture
Fabienne’s project challenges inefficient use of living space in the context of the global housing crisis. Her modular furniture collection celebrates belongings while optimising living areas through adaptable design solutions.
Maria-Patricia Lupascu, Product Design
Inspired by her Moldovan heritage, Maria-Patricia’s collection reimagines traditional ornamental motifs within a modern context, using innovative ceramic techniques to honour the cultural significance of Casa Mare.
